Chapter 3: Una and Mom (Una’s House)
Hyesuk: Are you going there again?
Una: …
Hyesuk: Don’t you have to study?
Una: I'll do it there.
Hyesuk: Where? Are you going to his house?
Una: (looking concerned and lowering her voice) Mom! Dad can hear.
Hyesuk: Why do you keep meeting him? You know your dad will hate him. I don't like the sound of him either.
The lady in Room 406 says people in that line of work like to call themselves traders, but they aren’t even permanently employed. It’s just an entry level sales job with no basic salary. All show and no substance.
If you get yourself involved with a guy like that, it’ll ruin your life!
Una: It’s not what you think it is, Mum. I'm off. See you later!
Hyesuk: (at a loss) So ungrateful … after all I’ve done for you … putting up with your father’s yapping for all these years.
Una: (doesn’t want to hear it) …
(The sound of water leaking).
Hyesuk: Again? I told upstairs to stop using the water because of the leak, but it sounds like they’ve turned it on again.
(Una leaves the house while her mother is distracted).
